Dr. Michael Keller grew up in the Cypress area where he is now a 3rd generation physician. He grew up shadowing his father and now partner, Dr. Kim Keller. He also shadowed his uncle, Dr. Michael G. Keller, who practiced family medicine and heard many stories of his grandfather, Dr. Glen Keller.
Dr. Keller attended Baylor University in Waco for undergraduate, where he graduated with a biology major and minors in both chemistry and business administration.
He then came back to Houston where he attended the University of Texas at
Houston Medical School, now called the McGovern Medical School. Upon completing medical school, Dr. Keller moved to Pittsburgh, PA where he completed his general surgery training at UPMC Mercy.
While there, he was awarded the laparoscopic achievement award (for most skilled with laparoscopic techniques of surgery). Dr. Keller is certified by DaVinci and has now performed more than 500 robotic surgeries including complex hernias, hiatal hernias, as well as colon and rectal surgeries. In addition to surgery, Dr. Keller also performs colonoscopies.
Dr. Keller enjoys watching Baylor sports, the Houston Astros, and the Houston Texans. He also enjoys time with his wife and 2 children.
